about
I am a designer, curator, and researcher with a background in architecture, conservation, and regeneration projects.
I obtained my Architectural titles in Rome (Italy) and Oxford (UK).
After having gained experience as a designer in a London based architectural practice, I pursued my curiosity and instinctively critical nature by attending the MA The Critical Inquiry Lab (former MA Design Curating and Writing) at the Design Academy of Eindhoven (Netherlands) from 2019 to 2021. Here I graduated with my research-led thesis ‘In:Out, Retracing publicity within the liminal spaces of radio frequencies’.
Combining spatial knowledge and curatorial skills, and inspired by artistic research, I focussed on investigating how media relate to social and political configurations. In particular, by analysing the technical and socio-cultural context of radio production, the research retraced the notion of architecture and public space within the complex mediatic landscape which so strongly shapes our contemporary design culture.
Resulting projects of this process span across various fields. Notes between Lines (2021) a radio program focussing on the narrative and political power of auditive content; per-sonare (2021) a sonic installation exploring alternative spatial configuration and languages; Stigmergy: Learning from Ants (2020) an exhibition at the Design Museum Den Bosch showcased the how design can learn from natural resources.
Since 2023, I am an employee in the Oxford-based architectural practice PenwardenHale Architects, whilst engaging with the educational field as a regular guest tutor at the University of Nottingham.
